Isaac's been looking forward to getting his head shaved for months now and last night was the night. It was a looong process and he(and the barber) were very patient about it, even when it wasn't altogether comfortable for Isaac.

This is torture for parents - discourage your kids from getting their head shaved with a straight razor. It really looks great now that it is done but it was painful to watch. The barber said that it was slow because kids have really sensitive skin and the skin is still kinda loose. From the time Isaac sat down in the barber chair until the time he got off the chair was about 1 hour 45 minutes.
Oh My Goodness!! Brevon will not shave his head!! 1hr and 45minutes. Good Job Isaac for sitting still so long!! :-)
I used to shave my head like issac's. Use a Gillette Mach 3 for the same results! After Rub a bit of Alloy vera cream on it to sooth. Alot faster and easier to do.
For me, it takes about 15 minutes to get rid of my hair with a clipper myself and another 15 minutes to use electric shaver to shave it clean when I'm doing it myself (since I can't see the back of my head). If I have someone else do it for me, it probably takes 5+10=15 minutes maximum. I wonder how it could take that long for your boy. And believe it or not, electric shavers shaves the head cleaner than a straight razor and they cause less irritation too! I'm raised in an Asian family and every summer my parents shave me bald so I kinda know those stuff.
