The time has come for us to pack up and head out in the morning. We will miss this place, for sure, but we have no sadness about leaving. We feel very blessed to have spent this past month in such beautiful surroundings. Many times I have sat in the sand watching my boys play in the surf and wondered for a moment if I was dreaming. Precious memories for sure.
On this last evening, I intended to take a picture of the sunset on the sound, but I missed it, argh! So instead, a picture of the bridge that connects the island that Emeral Isle is on to the mainland. It still gives me the heeby jeebies to drive over.
