I got to see a 3D rendering of how the roofline will look when its all said and done. I can't describe it very well, but the kitchen roof will extend from the house similarly to how the garage does except that the kitchen roof will be higher than the house instead of lower. It looked really neat.
The skid loader arrived today and made good progress. To give you an idea of the volume, he hauled away 3 dump trucks of dirt today and has about 2 more to go tomorrow.

This is the entrance to the boys' superhero lair. Ike and Chad were kind enough to open it for the boys before they left, during the day it will be covered so that Ike and Chad don't accidentally step into it while they're working.

What is that superhero lair thing? Looks pretty cool!
Their superhero lair is under the subfloor of the addition. If you click to enlarge the first picture in this post, you can see the ladder sticking up out of the access hole near the corner farthest from the camera. The hole is so that the plumber and electrician can get under there. I think the boys are in denial that it will get covered up.
