Someone asked in the comments on the previous post. We're putting on an addition! Right now we have this hallway for a kitchen, and no designated eating area to speak of.
So this is what we're doing. The current kitchen space will become our laundry room(up from the basement) and a study/storage area. The boys' room you see on here has been acting as a dining room, so it will be closed off and become a 3rd bedroom for us. Then the kitchen/eating area is all the addition. The blue rectangles are skylights and.......drumroll please.....I will have a pantry, WOOHOO!!
Looking at this, it might be confusing, this isn't a drawing of our whole house, only the part directly affected.

Thanks for posting the plans--I couldn't remember exactly what it was going to look like.
What's the timetable for the project?
We're hoping it's done by Christmas. LOL
Our contractor says 2.5 months, but I suspect he's being optimistic with that estimate. Right now we're in no hurry, but ask after we've been living in a construction zone for 6 weeks and you may get a different answer!
I am very excited for you! What a great plan! The pantry looks huge and I'm sure all those sky lights will make the kitchen shine beautifully.
