Just Arrived: Our Summer Entertainment

I'm too chicken to go to the waterpark by myself with all the boys, so this summer, the waterpark comes to us.

We went to the park tonight to release the crawdad(s).

Downtown Aquarium

We've never ventured to the aquarium in Denver, and this cold wet Memorial Day seemed like just the day so we and half the metro area population decided to visit.

We had dinner in the Aquarium Restaurant, it was delicious and the coral reef exhibit was great entertainment.

Not a bad view, eh?

Birthday Fun

We went bowling, it was fun, about as chaotic as you'd expect with 4 little ones. This is the little ramp/guide things they have for munchkins.

Yep, Inspector Gadget. Isaac wanted Inspector Gadget, how was I going to pull that off?? King Soopers bakery to the rescue. I was thrilled with how it turned out.

He's had a great day.

Isaac's Summer 'Do

Isaac's been looking forward to getting his head shaved for months now and last night was the night. It was a looong process and he(and the barber) were very patient about it, even when it wasn't altogether comfortable for Isaac.

Samuel calls him the new Isaac.

A New Place to Hike

On Saturday we headed up to Estes Park, but as we got outside of Boulder, the boys just weren't excited about the drive to get up there. With the help of my handy dandy iPhone, we found a place in Lyons called Button Rock Reserve and walked in there for awhile. We were out of practice and therefore quite unprepared to do any real hiking, but we hope to go back and trek back to the main reservoir sometime soon.

That evening we had out first bonfire of the year and Asher roasted his first marshmallow(or rubbed it around in the ashes anyway).

Happy Mother's Day!

I have to admit that I didn't take full advantage of the perfect weather this Mother's Day. After church and lunch, I took a long nap while Jeremiah and the boys played at the park. This evening we went for a walk on the path by our house and enjoyed the end of the day.

Breathe in deeply, can you smell the lilacs? The air is fragrant with them right now, its wonderful.

Time to head home.
