Thursday - Random

The crab got pretty big!

Isaac got higher in this tree than he has before. I wouldn't let him go any higher, but I'm sure his Dad will encourage him to do so when he gets home. :-)

Great Ending to the Weekend

We tried out our new fire pit and roasted marshmallows. The boys thought it was great.

Especially the eating marshmallows part, no matter if they weren't roasted first.

Pretty moon tonight too.

Memorial Day Launch

We took 10 rockets out to launch this morning, but only got 5 off the ground. The two mini's couldn't launch because I forgot the small launch rod; the Mean Machine had some technological issues (weak glue joint :)); forgot gun powder, so couldn't launch the Rhino cluster; and didn't have all the electical tools we needed for the Baby Bertha cluster!

We did have some fun and a couple great launches. Luke, Emma, and Megan came by for the launch and seemed to enjoy. It was beautiful weather and a wonder that more people weren't out at the park.

Beautiful Night at the Park

There were storms nearby, but not threatening where we were, made for beautiful skies.

It makes me a little nauseated to watch Isaac spin like this.

The Crab Has Grown

Starting size.
24 Hours later.

It's supposed to stay in the water for at least 3 days, but should keep growing up to 7 days. I think we might need a bigger container.

Park Time

Who is that big boy on the big swing? Asher?!

And Samuel, of course.

Asher practiced his jumps.

Isaac practiced his 2-wheeler bike riding.

It is astonishing to us how it's like he's always been riding it this way. I feel a little badly about not helping him take his training wheels off to try before now.

Isaac's Big Week Continues

As if his acting debut, last day of pre-k, and birthday weren't enough for one week, Isaac added riding a 2-wheeler to his list.

Birthday Fun - Lots of PIctures

Isaac sure had a good birthday. He got lots of great gifts too. This morning he opened a hummingbird feeder, a bird book(that he loves), some clothes and some seeds for his garden.

Poor Spencer was probably pretty frustrated with Mommy and Daddy as he was told many, many times to let Isaac open things by himself.

But as the biggest brother, Isaac sure did have lots of helpers.

His r/c monster truck from Mommy and Daddy.

It's almost as big as the metro! :-)

Isaac requested a rocket cake.

This is a little crab that Spencer and I got for Isaac, its supposed to grow to 600% of its original size if Isaac can be patient enough to leave it in the water for a week, then it shrinks back down when it dries so you can do it over and over. I'll keep you posted how it goes.

Today was also Isaac's last day of school, no more a pre-schooler(an emotional day for mom all around). He made this at school today, a marshmallow gun, we had lots of fun with it tonight!

Showing off his new biking gloves and pads.

Asher was a big fan of the cake.

Racetrack!

Isaac also got other great gifts too, savings bonds and the like, Mommy and Daddy say thanks! :-)

So Much Excitement

I'm not sure I've ever had to wake Isaac for school, but today he just wanted to sleep, he really crashed after his exciting night!

Things I Love About Isaac

He is a hard worker, always wants to be helpful.

He's adventurous.

Daring.

Always wants to learn new things.

Silly!

An amazing big brother.

Happy 6th Birthday Isaac, we love you!!

15 Minutes of Fame

The students at Isaac's school made a movie, writing and acting in it, the whole shebang. Tonight was the showing at a local theater. He was so excited, chattering about it all day.

The movie was primarily done by the older kids, but Isaac had a short appearance where he rode by a flying car on his bike with his cape on, biking in the air of course. :-) I completely missed snapping a picture when he was on screen, bad mommy.

Isaac's name was in the credits, the top line in this picture. He was beaming all night, it was so cute.

The principal of the school, known to the kids as Captain, speaks before the start of the movie.

Settling In

The boys seem to miss me taking pictures all the time like I did on our trip because they have been frequently getting into poses and asking me to take pictures of them

Today we got started on the garden.

With the boys' supervision.

Cleaned the sandbox.

Filled it with the sand we brought from the beach, the boys were so excited to play in the sand again.

Especially Asher.

Like I said, especially Asher.
