It was a gorgeous morning for a hike!

Isaac, Spencer, and I went camping this weekend at Golden Gate Canyon State Park. The weather was beautiful all weekend and everything went well. We had a great time!

Our camp site was right next to the main scout area so we never had to go very far for anything and we got to meet a lot of people.


The tent pads were beefy and smooth. Our tent fit perfectly into the pad and anchored to the loops already there we didn't really have to mess with tent stakes (but Isaac still wanted to put some in).


At the end of the weekend, Isaac took the tent down all by himself.

List of stuff we loved:

• watched a blacksmith make some cool stuff out of iron


• camp fire


• fun camp games


• playing hot potato (with a potato from the fire)


• scout camp fire with skits and songs

Sunflower farms has kids farmfest every Saturday during the summer. We tried it out for the first today with uncle seth and aunt heather and it was tons of fun!
