We had another beautiful 70 degree day today, so Asher and I went out in search of somewhere new to take some pictures in a new outfit he got for Christmas.

And he's done.

Loft Beds Are Finished!!

I love how much floor space we gain with these beds!

Project: Loft Beds

A few months ago, we bought plans online for loft beds that we wanted to build for Isaac and Spencer. We soon learned that the plans were a little too complicated for us, so we enlisted the help of Grandpa Ted, who is out building the beds for us. Here is bed #1, ready for me to start staining, doesn't it look great?!

Living Room Makeover

7.5 years ago when we bought this house, we painted all the avacado green walls white and haven't done a thing with them since. Recently, we used some Christmas gift money to get a new couch and decided it was time to paint too. Someday we'll get around to painting the trim white too, but painting this one room with the help of all the boys was enough of a project for one day.

We also replaced the vertical blinds on the front window with some curtains, which are of the thermal/blackout variety and we're finding the room is staying warmer, which is especially nice with our old windows.

New Year's Eve

The Cables came over last night and though the kids didn't quite make it to midnight before they were all ready for their beds, they did last until shortly after 11p and did amazingly well with no major melt downs or anything.

Spencer especially enjoys the younger 2 girls, I think he would love to have a sister.

Day After Christmas

Played with his new toys til he dropped. This is Asher in case you can't tell, well, and Jeremiah.

It was really nice out, so the boys went outside to play in our mudpit, I mean backyard.
