Nothing But The Finest...

welcome for Uncle Seth.

Pin The Tail On The Donkey

Today was Jeremiah's birthday and Isaac decided we needed birthday party games. He made this pin the tail on the donkey game for us to play.
Our newly arrived visitor, Uncle Seth, takes a go.

Fountain at the Promenade

This is mostly what Samuel did for the first half of our time there.

Then Uncle Seth started playing with him.

And soon he was drenched too.

The Power of TV.

We hooked out tv up to the antennae a couple of days ago for the first time in months and the boys are mesmorized. This was during Curious George this morning.

Asher Loves Cherries!

He can't get enough of them. I think his face and fingers will be stained for months!

Samuel's Playground

A view from the back door.

Nobody Takes Him Seriously

The older 3 boys attended vacation bible school last week in the mornings, so on Friday I ran some errands since it's sooo much easier with just Asher. He tired of that pretty quickly, but I needed to get one more stop in. He let me know in no uncertain terms that he was done. I'm not sure if I'm the meanest mommy in the world, or if it's because Asher is #4, but I think his fits are funny and decided this one deserved to be captured "on film".

What are you doing on the patio??

Someone asked in the comments on the previous post. We're putting on an addition! Right now we have this hallway for a kitchen, and no designated eating area to speak of.

So this is what we're doing. The current kitchen space will become our laundry room(up from the basement) and a study/storage area. The boys' room you see on here has been acting as a dining room, so it will be closed off and become a 3rd bedroom for us. Then the kitchen/eating area is all the addition. The blue rectangles are skylights and.......drumroll please.....I will have a pantry, WOOHOO!!

Looking at this, it might be confusing, this isn't a drawing of our whole house, only the part directly affected.

Studly Machine in the Backyard

Jeremiah says it looks especially studly holding down the pile of dirt. :D

Addition Officially in Progress!

Look here for some pictures of our progress so far on the addition. There is great excitement at our house today. You can see why.

That's a lot of little kids!

Pics from our Last Day in IL

Thanks a ton to Heather and her family for letting us invade their pool!

Big smiles from Gabby.

Asher preferred this more than actually being all the way in.

Taylor is a little fish.
Samuel tooled around nearly the whole time with his water wings and noodle.

After a dip in the hot tub, Seth was a little hesitant to get back in the pool so he tested his skills of balance to avoid the water.

Samuel gets a ride gorilla style.

Calista preferred toe tipping too.

Good to be home.

We did make it home last night. After we got through what ended up being construction near Des Moines, we made good time and got home around 11:30 last night.

Half hour west of Des Moines

On our way home to Colorado and we're sitting on I-80 and we're not
moving, seems to be an accident up ahead. Maybe we won't make it home
in one day after all.

An Evening with the Babies

We started out at the playground.
And then we took a little walk and the babies helped me play with my new toy, a reflector.

Samuel's Heart Truck

Samuel discovered this girly-truck but put it to good use: he carried it up the hill about 2 dozen times and hit the swing set almost every time he went down the hill.

Grater Girls

I got to take photos of 2 of my nieces at the Whiteside County fairgrounds yesterday. Of course I'm totally biased, but I think the girls are crazy adorable and I had a lot of fun exploring the fairgrounds with them.
