Samuel's First Day of Preschool
This is the one I've been most nervous about. My little Samuel is off to school this morning!
I think he's holding his hands together like this to keep his backpack on. Even the junior sized one is pretty big on him!

Asher was *not* happy to be left behind. He had put his crocs on(with his pajamas) to head out the door with the rest of the boys and was devastated to find out he wasn't going along, poor guy.

Beach Day!
After an early afternoon rest, we drove up to Boulder Reservoir for some fun on the beach.
But never fear, the kids can find entertainment in anything, this dirt pile was perfect to play on in the rain.
Everytime one of the nearby thunderstorms would make noises, it was a minimum of a half hour before we'd be allowed in the water. We finally gave up, the kids never did make it into the water!

What Little Boys Dream Of
Tonight there was an event at a local park where kids could look at and touch all sorts of emergency and construction vehicles.
The boys had to answer some questions to get their firefighter hats.

Spencer tells a good story about how when he was a baby he was really sick and rode to the hospital in an ambulance like this. He says he remembers, I tell him there is no way since he was teeny tiny, but he doesn't believe me. :-)
Could there be any greater joy? A Flight for Life helicopter landed at the park. (Jeremiah wants me to clarify that this was not an emergency, just another part of the event. )
Seth found ways to entertain himself. Besides swinging, he much enjoyed the K9 demonstration, as we all did.
About to head home. On our way out, we got to watch the hook and ladder truck put its ladder down(you can see it extended in the background here).
