Not As Bad As Expected

After the foot of snow we got Thurs night/Fri morning, we only had some flurries through the day yesterday. Today is sunny and clear(and cold!). People are getting around pretty well and we are looking forward to Parent's Night Out tonight! :-)

About A Foot......So Far

With snow continuing through Sunday! Of course this is on top of what was already here from the last storm.

Again?!

Broomfield is part of a winter storm warning for tomorrow afternoon through Friday morning. 8-18 inches expected by Friday morning, and possibly even more coming Friday night into Saturday! We haven't even tried to move Jeremiah's little car yet from the last storm, that poor car may end up sitting in the driveway for a month!

That Sure Is A Big Rocket You Have There

Jeremiah and Isaac have still been working hard on rockets. Jeremiah is getting ready for his first launch in early January with Bullet, his baby. :-) Lots more info at his blog, Pure Geek Joy.

Fish

Nemo! :-)

I think these guys are neat, they have 4 eyes. One set above the water, and one below.

Lazy Day for the Cats

I spose everyday is a lazy day for a cat, eh?

Zoo!

We had a gorgeous sunny 45 degree day, great for a walk at the zoo.
We spent a lot of our time in the tropical discovery building.

Merry Christmas!

Gearing up for gift opening.
Samuel opens his present from Isaac.

Spencer was excited to tell Issac about the robot he picked out to give him.

And Spencer enjoys his gift from Isaac.

In spite of the excitement of his brothers, Samuel made it clear that breakfast came first.

The boys tried out Spencer's new paint book. Samuel was very.....creative.

Taking After His Brothers - Monkey Boy

Asher climbed onto this box all by himself this morning. He was *very* proud of himself!
Samuel plays with Larry-Boy and the Larrymobile, a tried and true toy at our house.

Just a Few More

Jeremiah's been doing a lot of this today.

Loving the sled.

Venturing Outside

Standing on neighbor Bud's snowblown sidewalk,
Great fun with the sled!

Asher wasn't too excited about being left behind.

Check Out This Monster Sled!!!

Maca sent this sled home with us in November as a gift for our next big snow. I think this qualifies!

Snowstorm - Thursday AM

We can't open the back door all the way anymore.

This is a shot of the picnic table from last night.

And here is this morning, I'm thinking we'll lose sight of it altogether before the end of the day.

The boys are really itching to get outside to play in it!

10 Years!

Jeremiah and I have been married 10 years today, hard to believe. I guess the years before we had Isaac seemed to go by slowly, but then we had a baby, and another, and another, and another, and time went into warp speed. The years that we want to slow down and cherish the most are the ones that are flying by.
Learning to be married has been the most challenging thing I have ever done. Being a mom has (so far) been intuituve for me(yeah, wait for the teenage years). When Isaac was born, I felt like I had come to the time in my life that I was on this earth for. Being married was anything but intuitive though. We muddled our way through the earlier years, not necessarily with grace, but we did it. And now, after all the ups and downs that come in the course of 10 years, Jeremiah is truly my other half, the part of me that was missing before. I cannot imagine spending my life with anyone but him. I had no idea when we got married that I would get to this place, and to know that in 10 years time I will say the same thing is mind-boggling. I look forward to the next 10 years, and all the ones after that too!

I Love You Jeremiah!

Halfway Through the Snowstorm

Spencer's scooter outside the back door.
It's real windy, leading to lots of drifting.

Quite the overhang off the back of the house.

Jeremiah takes a pic from the warm house while I stand in the drift right outside our front door.

This is after one day, we've still got another day of this to go!

Christmas with Grandpa Aaron and Grandma Judy

Except that Grandpa and Grandma weren't here. The impending snow storm cut their trip short before we had a chance to open gifts with them. Since we were stuck indoors all day, we decided to open the gifts anyway.

Thanks for the great gifts!

Asher was so excited! Unfortunately, this gift isn't his. :-)
It's a tractor Christmas!

Asher Wants to Play Catch

Daddy's Belt

The boys like to wrap Daddy's belt around them like this to play pirates.
